One of television's most famous families is celebrating 20 years in the business.
The Simpsons is the longest running US sitcom, animated programme and prime time entertainment show ever.
Creator Matt Groening has been celebrating with a yellow-carpet event in Santa Monica, California. The carpet hosted a slew of guest stars whose voices have featured on Simpsons episodes.
Groening says he is still surprised at the Simpsons' success and is astounded the show is still going 20 years later.
The TV family have already got their own postal stamps in celebration of the milestone.
Do you watch The Simpsons? What do you like/not like about The Simpsons? Please leave us a comment with your memories.
I remember when The Simpsons started. I was 9 years old and it was on late at night after my bed time. My older brothers were allowed to watch it. I learned that it was a satire. That means that it takes things that happen in real life to many real people and makes fun of them.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I'm surprised that it is on during kids TV time, because sometimes it can be a bit rude, but then maybe that's just me being a bit old-fashioned. What do you think?
